OUR VISION

A Park for Everyone Regardless of Ability

Welcome to Crossroads Unity Family Park Project, where we are committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can enjoy the joys of play. Our innovative park design includes extra wide ramps for two adult wheelchairs to pass and for easy access to nearly all play areas. At the center of it all stands our impressive treehouse structure, which features an exhibit room and ample deck space. With unique offerings like wheelchair swings, slides, and stations equipped for sensory needs, our playground is meticulously crafted for inclusivity. The safe, smooth surface underfoot ensures that children and adults can play freely and safely as they create lasting memories. With various shaded rest areas strategically placed throughout the park, you can unwind comfortably in the beauty of nature. Enjoy playing games like chess and checkers at our game stations, or embark on a unique Scavenger Hunt through Catoosa's rich history using QR Codes. We’re excited to provide a walking track that encircles the park, allowing everyone to enjoy an active lifestyle together. Join us in building a community space that truly welcomes all!

Crossroads Unity Family Park Project is more than just a park plan; it is a community dedicated to providing a space where every family can thrive together and where adults with disabilities can play with their children and grandchildren. We believe in the transformative power of play and are dedicated to creating an all-inclusive space that caters to those with disabilities, allowing them to enjoy the same fun as everyone else. Our team is focused on building a community hub where families can gather, create unforgettable memories, and experience the sheer joy of play in an environment free of limitations.  A part of the park is our community build project that aims to build a mini-amphitheater event space that will serve as a welcoming hub for all, including those with disabilities. As part of this initiative, we will honor our veterans and active service members with a flag display of six brick columns representing each branch of service: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force.. Join us in making a positive impact and shaping a park that embodies unity and respect for all. Let's build something amazing together!

Crossroads Unity Park Overview

Crossroads-Unity-Map.jpg

Park placement will be adjacent to an existing city playground with limited ADA accessibility and will provide a one-stop-location for all city play activities. The park is located just off of I-75 and provides a convenient and fun stop. The section of Cleveland Street will be rerouted so that Crossroads Unity and Little General will become one large, complete play park. The Little General Park provides a family picnic pavilion and bathroom facilities.

The City of Ringgold is a strong supporter and has donated the land and committed to $750K in civil engineering efforts which includes all required land prep, leveling, and drainage as well as perimeter fencing to match existing playground and relocating a city street to eliminate through traffic and increase parking.
